Spring Benefit
On Monday, March 10, 2008, the Company kicked off its 25th Anniversary celebration with the Benefit at The Box. Located at Chrystie Street just below Houston Street, The Box's intimate and unusual theatrical setting makes this one of NYC's standout night club gems. The evening began at 7:30 p.m. with cocktails and at 9:30 an exciting (a la vaudeville) show began with the "one and only" La Torrita as the host. The evening featured a solo performance by Bill T. Jones, the extraordinary Company dancers and musicians in excerpts from A Quarreling Pair, and surprise guests. All of the proceeds raised help fund the Company's growing educational programs, its innovative artistic creations and collaborations, and the upcoming 25th Anniversary NYC presentation and world tour. The event was even included in the pages of the New York Social Diary.
